How this fund has actually behaved
A single “5-year return” is one draw from one start date. These figures cover every holding period in the fund's history instead, computed from its own NAV series.
What holders actually got
Annualised return across every holding period of each length. The bar spans worst to best, the box holds the middle half, and the line marks the median.
| Held for | Worst | Median | Best | Lost money | Periods |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 year | -18.29% | +7.99% | +116.73% | 27.6% | 3,497 |
| 3 years | -9.11% | +7.14% | +44.24% | 20.7% | 3,005 |
| 5 years | -3.19% | +10.29% | +28.28% | 18.4% | 2,517 |
“Lost money” is the share of those periods that ended below where they started. Periods overlap — they start on every day the fund priced — so they are not independent observations.
Worst fall
-26.38%
Peaked 14 Sept 2012, bottomed 10 Aug 2015 — 1060 days down. Back to the old peak by 2 Aug 2019, 1453 days later. Typical for FoF Domestic: -25.01%.
Consistency against its peers
32.7%
Share of 3-year holding periods in which Quantum Gold ETF FOF beat the median FoF Domestic (+13.59%), measured across 54 funds. A fund can top a one-year table having beaten its peers in only a third of the periods it lived through.

- 20.77% (category 13.56%)
- Sharpe:
- 1.25 (category 0.90)

Fund managers
Several managers are usually named on a scheme, so performance is not attributable to any one of them.
About this fund
What is the NAV of Quantum Gold ETF FOF - Direct Plan Growth Option?
The NAV (Net Asset Value) shown on this page is the latest published value for Quantum Gold ETF FOF - Direct Plan Growth Option, along with the date it applies to. AMFI publishes NAVs once per business day after markets close, so the figure updates daily rather than in real time.
How are the returns on this page calculated?
Returns up to 1 year are absolute (point-to-point) changes in NAV. Returns for 3 years and above are annualised (CAGR). Where the NAV history does not fully cover a period, or where the series contains a break such as a unit-basis change, we withhold that figure rather than publish a misleading one. Past performance does not indicate future returns.
Why are returns not shown for some plan variants?
IDCW, payout and reinvestment variants distribute income, which resets the NAV. A return derived purely from NAV therefore understates them, so we do not publish one. Use the Growth variant of the same fund to compare performance.
What is the difference between Direct and Regular plans?
A Direct plan is bought from the AMC with no distributor commission, so its expense ratio is lower and its NAV grows slightly faster. A Regular plan is bought through a distributor. The underlying portfolio is identical.
How often is holdings data updated?
Fund houses disclose portfolios monthly, so holdings reflect the most recent disclosure and the page shows its as-of date. Percentages are of the fund’s total corpus. Negative weights can appear where a fund discloses short derivative positions or net payables.
Is this investment advice?
No. This page presents factual scheme data — NAV, returns, portfolio, costs — for information only. It is not a recommendation to buy, hold or sell, and it does not account for your circumstances. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme documents carefully.
