The six zones, and what each means
From Deep Value to Overbought — six labels, one continuous scale of how stretched a price is from its own history.
The 0–100 score maps onto six zone labels: Deep Value, Value (0–30), Fair · Accumulating (30–50), Fair · Distributing (50–70), Rich (70–100), and Overbought.
Four of those — Value, Fair · Accumulating, Fair · Distributing, and Rich — are just named bands along the ordinary 0–100 scale. The other two are different in kind, not just degree: Deep Value and Overbought only appear when a price genuinely breaks outside its own trailing 52-week high or low, not merely when it gets close to the edge.
That distinction matters. A stock sitting at a score of 4 is simply near the bottom of its own range — still "Value." A stock tagged Deep Value has done something more specific: it has traded below where it has traded at any point in the past year. Same idea in reverse for Overbought at the top.
